Heater-free cold-weather LiFePO4
Outdoor Battery Backup Power Supply
Keep remote and critical equipment online with a custom outdoor UPS battery backup designed for cold starts, sub-zero charging, field enclosures, and the runtime your load actually needs.
Why outdoor battery backup fails in winter
Verified low-temperature performance
Power without spending energy on a heater
Wiltson low-temperature LiFePO4 retains at least 90% discharge capacity at -40°C, charges directly at -30°C in 2 hours, and supports up to a 3C discharge rate at -40°C. A heated pack cannot deliver power at -40°C before warm-up and takes about 7 hours to warm and charge.

12V, 120V, UPS, and outdoor-rated options
An outdoor rated UPS battery backup can support AC equipment, while an outdoor emergency power supply battery backup can be configured as a simpler DC system when the load does not need 120V conversion.
| 12V DC backup | Direct battery backup for controllers, radios, cameras, and other DC loads. |
|---|---|
| 120V outdoor UPS | Battery plus project-matched inverter for equipment that requires AC input. |
| Outdoor-rated enclosure | Project-specific IP level, cable glands, connectors, mounting, and corrosion requirements. |
| Battery backup system | LiFePO4 cells, BMS, charging interface, enclosure, wiring, and optional communications. |

Frequently asked questions
What does “outdoor rated” mean for a battery backup system?
Outdoor rated means the complete system is engineered for its installation environment, including temperature, moisture, dust, enclosure, connectors, mounting, and ingress protection. The required IP rating and enclosure design are confirmed for each project.
Should I use 120V or 12V battery backup?
Use 12V or another DC voltage when the equipment accepts DC directly. A 120V outdoor UPS adds an inverter for AC loads. Wiltson sizes the battery, BMS, inverter interface, and runtime around the actual load rather than treating voltage alone as the specification.
Can this LiFePO4 battery charge below freezing?
Yes. Wiltson low-temperature LiFePO4 packs can charge directly at -30°C without a heater. The verified comparison is 2 hours of charging versus about 7 hours for a heated pack, including roughly 5 hours of warm-up.
Do you support OEM, ODM, and wholesale orders?
Yes. Wiltson supports OEM and ODM engineering, custom voltage and capacity, BMS configuration, enclosures, connectors, labels, packaging, certification planning, samples, and volume manufacturing for distributors and equipment suppliers.
